I have been coming to the Hungry Fox for years and I always bring or tell people where to come for a good meal and friendly service. I now bring my grandchildren who love to go for tea there.

Hi came for Sunday lunch today Sunday 8th Jan.2012 The meal was very good as usual well presented and served without going over the top on price. the portions are always generous but today we both managed to clear our plates we will definately visit again. my partner always liked the Sea Bass but you do not seem to have had it for some time would it be possible to put it back on the specials menu?seryet

We were part of a large party that came for the Senior Citizens Xmas Dinner. It was excellent value for money - very good quality food and superb service. Well dgone the team at the Hungry Fox - we will recommend you to our friends and family.

We had a fantastic meal here on 10th November. The beef wellington was excellent and the steak tender and still nice and pink. We were impressed by the choices avaialable on the menu and everything we saw coming out looked delicious! Very pleased to have found you!

Visted Oct 2011 absolutely fantastic food, the Cantonese Sizzler was fab and the HUGE treacle pud to finish Lots more on the menu to try next visit

Was greeted and made very welcome by the bar staff (Danielle). Had the 2 steaks and wine for £30, excellent value and excellent food all served with great service. Will definitely be back.

Both just enjoyed a lovely meal, menu excellant spoilt for choice. Staff very helpful and friendly. Pleasant surroundings will be back soon.

I had the best rump steak I have ever had in my life. Melted in the mouth. Brilliant value all round.

Having my 21st party at this pub was a great experience. Helen and Shaun were great, they put on a fantastic spread with different types of food to suite everyone. they catered for around 80 people on the 23rd September and not one family or friend complained. the evening was great and would deffinatley go again.

As a frequent visitor for your pensioners lunch I can only say that there is nowhere else that can beat The Hungry Fox for value and quality. Great, See you again

On a very long journey back from the North East, being stuck in traffic for 5 hours, being in the middle of the most horrific storm, turning up at the Hungry Fox was just a pleasure. We arrived to smiling faces, nice food and lovely atmosphere, what a great end to a very long journey, thankyou.

We had our christening party at the hungry fox. Helen and Shaun catered for 40 adults and 25 kids with a hot and cold buffet. All my guests commented and how fantastic the food was, there was more than enough food at a very competitive price. The venue was perfect, they opened the restaurant doors so we could free flow outside to enjoy the sunshine. The staff were outstanding, they honestly could not do enough. We will absolutely be back and enjoyed it more so than it's sister pub. If your wanting a cozy, warm heart felt pub with great food this is definitely the place to be. Can't wait for it to be our local. Thank you so much for the fantastic memories!

My partner and i and our 8 year old boy visited Sunday 11th September 2011, at lunch time, didn't fancy Sunday Roast on this occasion, although is really good, but that didn't matter, plenty of other delicious stuff to chose from. Normally it's difficult to find my 8 year old anything he wants to eat, very fussy, but not when we come to Hungry Fox he loved the kids portion of the homemade steak pie and so did my partner who had the adult portion, I went for the healthy option, lemon chicken with black pepper - gorgeous - good to see a pub offering healthy options. Great enjoyable visit, will be back in the very near future

Visited Hungry Fox again this lunchtime after a visit to the dentist.Put a smile back on our faces Last visit on 6th August was for our granddaughter's 13th birthday 10 of us in all, everything arrived same time hot and perfect in every way even though we all had something different.Service was as usual tops. Thanks again for a great night.

A party of 11,including 3 children celebrated our wedding anniversary on Sunday 28th August. We come regularly and were not disappointed, the food was excellent as was the service and the guest beer was first class. We will be back but it will not take us a year.

We came to the Hungry Fox on the 24th of August and had the Steak meal for 2, It was absolutely amazing, we could not fault anything at all. The service we recieved off the staff were perfect in every way,very friendly and pleasant.. We will Definately be recommending this pub to everyone we know because of the atmosphere, the happy service and the perfect food.. See you very soon.. Lisa and Richard xx
