Another Poker season has just finished and congratulations to
ME!! Yes I came top of the league table after 12 hard fought weeks.
Congratulations also go to Helen Firth, Mark Burnley, Richard Bradley and
Dwaine Broadhead who have all qualified for the regional finals which take
place in Newcastle on Saturday 18th October. If anybody would like to come
for the day they are more than welcome, their will be mini tournaments
running all day at the casino. We will leave from the pub at 10:30 AM, so
don't be late. The new poker league will start Monday 20th
October at 8pm. All players are welcome old and new. The more players we
get down week by week the more we get to send to the regional's, so please
come along .

We had a fabulous
night. Thank you all for coming and a special thank you goes to Duncan
Preston (Emmerdale) Jamie Langley, Andy Lynch, Wayne Godwin (Bradford
Bulls) and Richard Horne (Hull FC) for coming down and helping us make the
opening night special.

LOCAL RUGBY LEAGUE STARS WILL JOIN TOGETHER TO OFFICIALLY OPEN
OUR NEW EXTENSION AND JOIN US FOR THE EVENING.

The Hungry Fox will be closed from Monday 21st April for refurbishment
and will re-open on Thursday 24th April. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Kyle Jarrat is our first season Poker league champion,
congratulations! There are four qualifiers going to Newcastle for the
regional finals on Saturday 19th April, where they will be up
against other qualifiers from the North East, good luck you guys! If
anyone else is interested in going to watch you must let Shaun or Helen
know ASAP!!!!!The poker league will start up again for a 12 week season
on Monday 28th April, until then we will be playing on as
usual, £5 buy-in starting 8pm prompt.

With 1 week to go Kyle Jarrat is
the only player guaranteed to qualify for the regional finals. The other
three spots are yet to be decided, with Quagmire, Saf and Frisky
currently occupying them. The regional finals will be taking place on the
19th April in Newcastle for those wishing to go and watch.
Poker will still be played on Monday nights after this week, with a £5
buy-in, until the new season gets underway on 21st April. The
2nd Hungryfox season will last 12 weeks.Click

Poker League. The league is starting to take shape now with Helen
Firth and Kyle Jarrat clear of the chasing pack. If you've not been down
to play yet it's not to late, get here for 7:30 this Monday.

Major refurbishment of our conservatory will commence on 31st March
lasting six weeks. We will be open as usual. We will demolishing the
current conservatory and building an extension in it's place. The work
should take six weeks and our grand re-opening is planned for Friday 9th
May. |

Funtime Funky Frankie has been booked for Good Friday. Disco starts at
9pm and quiz at 9:30pm. See you there. |

The Hungry Fox Poker League kicked off on Monday and was a great
success. Thank you to all those who participated. Kyle Jarrat won
the tournament with Helen Firth 2nd and Sarah Richards 3rd. A full league

Our new outdoor decking area has now been in use for a few months and the
electric heaters are keeping the smokers nice and warm. You may also
notice the car park has been installed with new lighting, so you won't be
stepping in anymore unexpected puddles. Please give us your feedback on
these or any other matters you wish to raise. |

The Hungry Fox has just been awarded "The Doncaster District Pub of the
Season-Spring 2008" by the good people of CAMRA (Campaign for real ale).
Their will be a small presentation on Friday 11th April. More details
will follow shortly. |
